Fitwel is used in over 35 countries, and Frasers Property UK is proud to have certified the largest Fitwel area globally, a total of 288 acres impacting approximately 13,500 people.

Increasing efficiency

Chineham Park has committed to achieving net zero carbon across the park by 2050, aligned with the Paris Agreement to limit warming by 1.5 degrees. Here’s what we’ve already done to reduce our impact across the park:
  • Installation of energy efficient lighting.
  • 100% renewable electricity procured through the grid.
  • Water efficient fixtures and taps.
  • Promotion of cycling to reduce commuter emissions.
  • Light coloured pavements and tree shading to reduce summer temperatures.
  • Installation of rooftop solar PV in 2022.

Biodiversity

  • Planted over 3000 new bulbs.
  • Installed bat bird and hedgehog boxes.
  • Set up a camera to monitor deer activity nearby.
  • Installed a new aquatic wildlife pond near Rosewood.
  • Installed four new wood piles to encourage wildlife activity.

BREEAM is the most common and widely adopted green buildings certification, certifying the sustainability performance of a building. Over 24% of the buildings at Chineham Park have been certified with the certification, achieving good to best practices scores. These include air quality testing, access to natural light, energy and water efficient appliances, recycling facilities and carbon neutral carpets.
