United Kingdom, 7th August 2023

Frasers Property UK has announced three new lettings and an existing occupier expansion at Chineham Park, the company’s 815,000 sq. ft. mixed-use business park in Basingstoke, Hampshire, with a wide range of flexible office and industrial workspace.

Wates Group, one of the UK’s largest construction firms, has taken over 2,300 sq. ft. of office space in the Elmwood phase.

Geeta’s Foods has moved into its new space, also totalling over 2,300 sq. ft., in Cedarwood .

Pizzeria Gali will move into Spindlewood after fitting it out, having leased nearly 2,500 sq. ft. of retail space.

In total, the three companies are taking a total of over 7,000 sq. ft. between them.

Additionally, existing Chineham Park occupier, Instavolt, has doubled its office space at the Hampshire business park, taking its total space to over 10,000 sq. ft. – bringing the total square footage for these new deals and renewal to over 12,000 sq. ft.

The positive start to the year builds on Frasers Property UK’s successful 2022 which saw over 125,000 sq. ft. of new lettings and renewals at Chineham Park.

Adrian Keen, CEO at Instavolt, said:

“As the electric vehicle industry continues to grow so do we, having grown our staff total from 16 in 2017 when we arrived at Chineham Park, to 103 today. Our expanding operations meant we required a larger workspace,  we’ve had such a great experience at Chineham Park and with Frasers Property UK that we naturally wanted to stay and increase our presence here. This expansion represents an exciting next step for Instavolt as we further develop our business. We are currently the largest open public rapid EV charging network in the UK, and after launching in Iceland this year we plan to do the same in Spain and Portugal soon.”

Chris Stevens, Senior Asset Manager at Frasers Property UK, said:

“Chineham Park is on an exciting trajectory – 2022 was one of our most successful years at the business park and momentum continues to build. A thriving business community has been established here with wellbeing at its heart – our award-winning landscaped exterior and a busy events calendar help our occupiers create and strengthen team togetherness and company culture. The first-class office space, including co-working spaces, also helps our occupiers attract new talent. We look forward to welcoming Wates Group, Geeta’s Foods, and Pizzeria to the Chineham Park family.”

Situated north of Basingstoke, it is an ideal location for commuters – with its close proximity to the town’s ring road, the A33 and the M3 and M4 motorways. Commuters also benefit from a shuttle bus which runs every 15 minutes between Chineham Park, the train station and Basingstoke town centre.

Frasers Property UK was represented by Hollis Hockley and CBRE.
