To celebrate International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8 March, Chineham Park is teaming up with local charity Smart Works Reading to celebrate and give back to the local community. We need your help! 

About Smart Works 

Smart Works Reading offer dressing and interview coaching to unemployed women across the Thames Valley. The services are available to any women with a confirmed job interview, they also offer career coaching to unemployed women to help secure a job interview. 

Smart Works Reading is open five days a week and last year the team of over 75 highly skilled, fully trained, professional volunteers delivered over 350 appointments in the last year. Smart Works Reading needs your donations so that they can dress each woman in an interview suitable outfit, giving them the confidence they need to look good, feel great and secure their dream job. 

How to get involved 

We are collecting good condition interview style clothing for women. So now is the time for a clear out! 

Please bring them and drop them off at reception in the multi-let buildings from Tuesday 15 February to Tuesday 8 March.

We need: 

– Skirts/Trousers/Suits 

– Blouses/Smart tops 

– Blazers, suit jackets 

– Winter coats 

– New and sealed make-up and toiletries 

Please make sure that they are in good condition.

Smart Works fashion sale 

Smart Works regularly host fashion sales and they are holding their latest event on Saturday 19th February in Reading.

Do good while shopping new and pre-loved, designer and high street clothes. Proceeds from the sale will help support local women in need into work.  

There will be brand new sample and end-of-line stock from the high street and boutique labels, pre-loved, high-quality designer and premium high street brands, box-fresh shoes and boots, stunning accessories including handbags, scarves and jewellery and a specially curated vintage selection. 

We really appreciate all your support.  Any donations you make, will make a huge difference to women across the Thames Valley.
